Q. Who is eligible?
A. This policy is only available to UK Residents aged 75 for single trip and 69 for annual multi trip and aged 54 where clearly stated or under when the policy is taken out. A UK Resident is defined as someone who has lived in the UK 2 months prior to travel.
Q. I will shortly be older than the age stated on the policy?
A. It's your age at the outset of the policy that counts so if during the term of cover you exceed the age stated you are still covered. It's the age when the policy starts. It s not necessarily the age when you actually travel.
Q. I am a one child family. Why no policy for one child families?
A. As we source our UP TO two child family policies from the underwriter as "packages", it works out more cost efficient for you to take out an up to two child policy than for us to create a one child rate from the individual component.
Q. Do you accept payment by methods other than card eg; cheque?
A. No, only credit card, debit card payments are accepted.
Q. After I have submitted my card details and received an electronic covernote do I receive a paper certificate through the post?
A. No. Your covernote, which includes your unique reference number is your proof of insurance. You must download from this website a full copy of the policy wording which gives full details of what you are covered for and any exclusions. Also a full copy of the Summary of Benefits and the Key Facts document. Armed with these, you will have all the information you require about the policy and how it works. As an added service we have arranged that when your electronic covernote is sent to you, a copy is sent to the independent claims company whose details are shown on your covernote so if you have to claim, they will already have the necessary information about your policy.
Q. What is your definition of "Couple"?
A. Two adults not necessarily married (and can be the same sex).
Q. What is your definition of "Family"?
A. Two adults (not necessarily married) and up to four children under 18. The children can be from a previous relationship of either of the adult insured persons. Children over 18 or an extra child must take out a separate policy.
Q. How do I know how to choose the Area to which I am travelling so that I am quoted the correct premium?
A. The areas are: The UK United Kingdom, The Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands
Europe The Continent of Europe including countries west of the Ural Mountains, Madeira, Canary Islands, Iceland, the Azores, Mediterranean Islands and non-European Countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea but excluding Algeria, Israel, Lebanon and Libya
